Mahatma Gandhi (School Day of Non-Violence and Peace)

Akshi, who is our language assistant, has prepared this presentation for you about Matahma Gandhi. He was born on October 2nd, 1869, in Portbandar, India.                                 👇👇

Mohatma Gandhi was a leader of India’s independence movement. When India was a colony of Great Britain, Gandhi used nonviolent methods to protest against British rule. His efforts earned him the title Mahatma.

Mahatma means 'great soul'.

Every 30th January we celebrate the "School Day of Non-violence and Peace".

But why?. Because we commemorate the day when Mahatma Ghandi was killed. He believed in non-violence to fight for human rights.

Cool Cycling (Poem)

Last 22nd September, Car Free Day encouraged people around the world to give up their vehicles for a day.

The Lorax is a creature. He is worrried about deforestation, air and water pollution. Can you help him?.

Sure!.  Cycling is a fantastic sport to be fit and healthy and we also protect our planet.

So, take this challenge: learn and dramatize this poem. First, listen to Akshi:

>👉 This is the poem:

Cycling is such a cool sport,
It's such fun that you never get bored!
Running, swimming, dodging-the-ball,
But I think cycling's best of all!.

In a flash you can get from a place to the other
It's a more pleasant transport than any other.
It doesn't pollute the air with bad gas,
And it's friendly to the environment and us.

So, riding a bike makes you feel good,
And it's bound to put you in a nice mood.

'Let’s Preserve our Nature’(Poem)

Hi kids! 😃🌳🌺🐠🐘

As you know next Friday 5th  is

World Environment Day.

Here you have a poem in English 👇:

👂Listen to the poem as many times you need.
You have to learn it and read it with a nice pronunciation and entonation:

Let's Preserve Our Nature

The sun is shining,
The sky is blue,
The birds are flying,
And the breeze is so cool.

Mother Nature is trying her best
To give nothing but beautifulness,
But what do we do?
Make her a mess.

Let's make her the best
By polluting less and less,
And preserve her green dress
For our kids and the rest.
